Let the silly season begin....

It may be the beginning of the silly season... but I love this time of year! There is always so much to do; the shopping, the wrapping, the decorating, the cooking....but the best of all is the celebrations with family and friends. This year I have decided to document our Christmas and have signed up for Journal Your Christmas with Shimelle. I'm really motivated to do this, as I want to one day be able to sit back and share this with my family and remember the Christmas that was 2009! So there will be regular updates on here of the progress of my album.
Over the last few weeks I have spent time gathering my supplies for this. I have chosen to use an American Crafts 8.5x11" D ring album in Cardinal, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses collection and I raided my stash for all things Christmas and have placed them in a container all together. With this time of year being so busy I went with an already coordinated range to make things quicker and easier for myself. The plan is to keep the layouts basic, in order to keep it up to date.
Sheree is also doing Journal Your Christmas, and so together we hope to keep each other motivated.
**If you are reading this blog and I haven't updated in a while leave me a comment! Maybe that will keep me motivated! ;-)

Soon as I have been so slack with my posting in the last couple of months some of you may be wondering what I have been upto.... so here are my class layouts taught over at Scraploot, over the past couple of months. The class schedule for December and January is also now available so contact the store for details. These are some store samples I created to showoff some new OTP products we have in stock!
I'm off now to get into the Christmas Spirit and decorate the tree.

Scraploot's 1st Birthday!

It's our 1st Birthday this weekend and we are planning a huge one to celebrate!

On Saturday 28th November, we are celebrating in style with a fantastic class launching the new range from DELISH, High Tea, and what better way to celebrate this Aussie Product Promotion day, than with HIGH TEA and be part of this fantastic class with Sally Wilson. Starting at 11am with freshly baked scones (Sue will be up early baking these from her Nana’s secret recipe) then with sandwiches and fresh fruit followed by assorted pastry sweeties (yes Sue is going to be up very early!) … We have a limited number of spots remaining, so ring to book.

The class, kit and High Tea is all included for $40. For those of you already booked into the class, please email us or pop in before to get the info sheet on the class!

We will also have make and takes using the High Tea range in the Gazebo from 10:30 to 2:00.

Lorraine Bate will be here with us also on Saturday 28th from 10am to 1pm demonstrating the Cricut machine. On Saturday all Cricut Cartridges will be reduced by 25% off.

From 2pm to 4pm Sheree will be in the Gazebo doing a make and take with you using Tim Holtz product where you will make a gorgeous Christmas Tag.

On Sunday 29th we will be open from 10 to 4pm – the scraproom is available for a pleasant Sunday of scrapping and yakking…ring us to book!

Sheree will be demonstrating the Silhouette machine on Sunday from 11am to 1pm, and then from 2pm to 4pm Sheree will be demonstrating the Cuttlebug machine using both Cuttlebug embossing folders, and Spellbinder dies.

On both Saturday and Sunday we will have hourly HOT PINK DOT specials (bit like a Red Light – but we are sure you get the idea). For the first 15 minutes at the top of each hour we will have these specials running with a great range of product each hour. So make sure you plan to be with us for a few hours on either day or why not both because the hourly specials will rotate through the day and will be different each day. We will also have some tubs throughout the store with great bargains with product reduced up to 50% off.

Sheree and I have also decided on some other specials that they are going to run over the weekend – wish we could tell you what they are, but Sue and Craig don’t know what they are, nor what time they will be happening! All we know is that these will be ORANGE DOT SPECIALS

Oh and last but by no means least…in case you can’t make it on the weekend to help us celebrate, from Wednesday 25th November until Friday 27th November at 4pm, our Scraploot Scrapper Discount will be increased to 15% when purchasing over $50 (standard exclusions apply) Please noteFor Sale Items No LaybysApplies to stock on hand onlyare not included in Scraploot Scrappers discount when purchasing over $50.

I hope to see you there for lots of fun...

About time...

Ok... so I admit I'm not so good with this blogging thing. If only it would read my mind and update it each time I think about it and what I want to post up here.
Since my last post, we have had a week away, where we took our little man to the Zoo for the first time. We've also have a few family birthdays and I've been a little under the weather.

On the creative side of things, I've been busy working on layouts for the September class schedule for Scraploot, which has now been released. There are some fantastic classes in September;
*Tim Holtz Unstressed with Sheree - which is a 6 week course looking at the range of Tim Holtz products and the various techniques associated with them.
*Sue has a great class for Fathers Day, which is a gift box
*Double Page layouts - this month Sue and I have mixed it up and completed a couple of Double Page Layouts
*Brenda has completed a great layout using the Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts
*Nicole is running a Freestyle Canvas Class over 2 weeks
So there is definitely something for everyone contact Scraploot for a copy of the Schedule.
At the moment I'm working on some samples for the store of some Timber Albums that have arrived, which are awesome. I have 2 close to completion, with 2 to go, so will hopefully post some pics up of these over the next week or so. I do have some layouts to share with you today, of classes that I taught at the very end of July. Hope u like....

Scraploot Class Layouts

So, July has pretty much come and gone, with just 1 more class for me to teach at Scraploot for this month. I can now share 2 layouts that I've taught this month. The first is layout, is one of my all time favourites and will take pride of place on display in our house.

This photos in this layout were of our first official family portrait back in 2007.

The second layout was using a more recent photo of Matty & I which was taken at the Easter Show this year (self portrait), as we were waiting for the fireworks to start.
Just a quick post today, as we leave for holidays on the weekend and have lots to pack and get organised.
Will have another 2 layouts to share soon, after I teach them in the next 48 hours.

Take care,
Rach

Update

Not so much doing on the Scrapping front of late, just lots of thinking about it! But I WILL be changing that this weekend and completing new layouts for my July classes at Scraploot.
I spent some time over the long weekend cleaning out and sorting through my office, but there is still along way to go. As I was cleaning up though, I realised I have way to many incomplete projects. So once I get my layouts completed for my classes I will get stuck into my incompletes and hopefully have more to share. In the meantime, below is a layout that I have completed of my two boys.I know, I know I cheated with this one and scraplifted my own work lol... its the same as the one in my last post but in blues with a different rub on. But the colouring in the photo and on the papers were just perfect!

Please feel free to leave comments across my posts I'd love to know what you think, or even just say 'Hi' cause you stopped by. Till next time,

Rach
