Mad For Markers DT Call

Ok... so here goes... Mad for Markers currently has a DT call up and soon as I am totally addicted I thought I might as well apply. So first up I have the same CC Designs stamp from yesterday's post but this time using a mix of colours and made up into a card. I also used my Copics to colour the tips and centre of the flower.
The second card for tonight was my first ever Magnolia that I have coloured, and I used the scraps from the other 3 layouts that I am sharing tonight to create the card for the Magnolia.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck to all the girls applying.

Blokey Stuff

Ok this blogging thing seems to have started to become a habit..woohoo lol....
Tonight I've got two cards to share with you, both of which I created for Fathers Day this year. I loved these two images, again some free digis from somewhere which are just great for real masculine cards. I teamed the images up with some black and brown cardstock, a cuttlebug embossing folder, black grosgrain ribbon, Cosmo Cricket mini alphas and my copics of course, lol...
These cards were so quick and easy but yet really effective... and blokey lol.... I don't know about you but I usually struggle to make blokey cards... they usually just don't look masculine enough.

All Things Pink

So tonight I have a really quick post for you... with both some scrapping and copics inspiration.

The first I am sharing with you tonight is just some colouring using "Pinks". This was my first attempt at using Pinks... I used so many colours and shades of pink on this little CC stamp and I really like the result.... I haven't made this little one into a card or anything as yet... I was just 'practising' on this one.... its always good to have some pre-coloured images ready on hand to make a quick card if need be.

The scrapping inspiration for tonights post was created using the Imaginisce collection and was really great for cutesy girly things... the photo in this layout is of my niece a few years back at one of her first physie comps...

I'll be back again tomorrow, some more goodies to share.

Challenge Heaven

A couple of months back I joined in on a CyberCrop over at Challenge Heaven... which was lots of fun and the girls over there on the forum are really lovely... it was a good couple of nights chatting away and scrapping... and it was even better as Sheree and I got together to do the Blind Scrap that they did live on the Saturday night.... It was my first Blind Scrap and I loved it... the page that I created was just awesome. The page is definitely one of my favs!
Product used in this layout was the KaiserCraft stir it up collection.
The second page I have for you today was a sketch challenge, and the other criteria was to use the colour blue..... there is nothing sweeter to me than these baby blue eyes. I actually a prize for this layout... so I was very happy with the result.
Product used in this layout is from the Bella Ever After Collection...
I'm out of here for the night... off to Copics Anonymous with the girls...

Boy stuff....

I know... I know... you are in shock... LOL... Yep my second post in a week.... well I'm going to keep them coming... I figure that if I make a conscious effort every couple of days to do an update it just might become a habit.... fingers crossed.

Todays post is about all things boy... hope these inspire you .....

My first share for today is some fun copics colouring... of a card I made for a 2nd Birthday and it uses the Hero Arts Monster stamps, which I just love for boy cards. I kept the card nice and simple with just some Kraft Cardstock, and the stamps coloured, cut out and the sentiments stamped directly onto the cardstock.
Some scrapbooking inspiration for you today is of our little man enjoying his Christmas present.... hooning around the back yard... he loves his Ben 10 4wd... and we love watching him play in it for hours..... he is a complete dare-devil and seems to have no fear...he has also worked out where to position in the back yard, so that he can 'smoke it up'. I can't believe how quickly he is growing up and how much he is learning. He takes my breath away and makes me laugh each and every day ... I love you B! Well thats it for me today...I'll be back again soon....

MIA...I'm back

Ok ok... so it seems that thing called life has taken over again and blogging was low on priorities for me... oops... sorry.... but in saying that it seems my posts haven't been missed either......

Anyhoo... Well because I've been so slack with my posts that means I have lots to share with you over the coming weeks.
When I last posted back in May I was off to SIA... well SIA was inspiring, and tiring.... but it started me on a new addiction... Copic Markers... I have been steadily increasing my stash of these and now NEED to attend Copics Anonymous once a month ;-) lol... with some great girls who obviously share the love for Copics also... Thanks to Sammi from Mad For Markers who facilitates this group lol....

Copics...takes me back to being a kid again, when I use to just love to sit and colour in... (thanks for the reminder of this the other day Mum xo)

A Copics Certification Course has just been announced for Sydney in November... which I am hoping to attend.... fingers crossed x.

I will share with you today a quick little notecard that was one of my first creations I put together using something I had coloured in with my Copics. The photo is not the best, as I was already at the post office and about to stuff it into the envelope when I realised I hadn't photograhed it. I'm not sure of where I got the image from, it was a free digi stamp that I stumbled across and saved.
I haven't given up on Scrapping.... I'm still doing it... so today I have a layout to share with you, which uses the TPC Studios Girlfriend collection, along with some 2Crafty Chipboard and some feathers for something a little different.

This layout is of a very special friend and I taken late last year... we are joined at the hip .... I am lucky to know you girl... ....Sheree.... Thanks for the blog make over again.... You inspire me to get back to my blogging ways and ,y promise to you is that I will update it more regularly. Lol.
Thats it for today girls... if you stopped by please leave a comment or say hi so I can return the love....and let me know what you think of the new look.

Layouts & SIA

A long time between posts again... life has been busy....

I have two layouts to share today... but this will be just a very short post as I am busy getting organised for the next few days as I juggle work, home life and SIA. To make things a little easier we are going to stay at my Mum and Dad's for the next couple of nights, making my travel time to and from SIA a little less thankfully and also easier on B.

This my first year attending SIA and I am going to be a teachers assistant. I got my roster last night and I'm very excited to be assisting Becky Fleck who is being sponsored by Pink Paislee... this will be a great experience I'm sure as I love working with sketches and Becky Fleck is the queen of Sketches!

I'm also assisting Wendy Senger of Tattered Angels, which will be great to find out more about their new Glimmer Glaze and Glimmer Glam products as well tips and techniques for their Glimmermist, Screens and Stamps.

I am really looking forward to SIA. I'm sure its going to be lots of fun and inspiring.

Here are the two layouts for today.... the first is of my neice on her first day of school and the second is of my Mum and Dad on a recent cruise they went on.

Hopefully I'll be back in a couple of days with an SIA update.

OTP & Sasafrass Layout

Just a quick share today of a simple OTP I did quite some time ago, love the colours in this project for something different.... not colours I would usually use.

I love the look of Sasafrass collections, I just really struggle with them when it comes to putting something together with them. I created this layout for a February class, using the Sassafrass Amplify range... this range really tested me and I can't really say that I am happy with this layout... it just doesn't look right to me... the overall feel of it is a little dark.

I've had a really busy week this week and said Bon Voyage to my parents as they set on a well deserved cruise, visiting, Japan, China, South Korea and Hong Kong... I hope they have an awesome time... and take lots of pics for me to scrap when they get back.

I've busy unpacking today and making some good progress. I'm also busy working on classes at the moment, and am really looking forward to a nothign but scrappy day tomorrow with Sheree.

Till next time, happy scrapping

Finally we have moved into our new home and loving it... its such a nice feeling to be in our own home. We have a never ending list of things that need to be done or want to be done... but right now we are also just enjoying the moment.

Onto Scrappiness lol.... when we received the the Teresa Collins Friendship collection I just had to work with it. I loved working on this layout... as for once this layout was really a layout for me.... not for anyone elses album but mine... The photo in this layout is of myself and my friend H. We have been friends since Kindy, when I walked into a pole. We have been friends for 23 years now, she is someone who I can always count on, and for that I am forever grateful.

I do like to work with Kaisercraft papers as I find they have a great variety in their papers... their collections really have something for a range of scrapping styles.... this collection was just perfect for scrapping some photos of my boys. For Fathers Day last year we bought M a set of Dog tags and he liked them so much, he also wanted Blake to have a set. ... which I thought was a really cute idea... my two boys with matching dog tags... so Father and Son.

Thanks for stopping by.....

Update and some layouts

Firstly... our new home is coming along nicely now and we will be moving in over the weekend and its all starting to get a little bit exciting.
We spent yesterday afternoon out at the house putting up beds, mowing the lawn (in between the rain) and cleaning. My little man and I will be heading out there again soon today to do a little bit more.

On to some scrappiness! Lol... So during this week I've finished off my class samples for March and I'm really happy this month with how they have come up. I had some great product to work with called Lucy's Bird from Imaginisce... which was o so cute. I also got to use one of the Kaiser Q3 ranges to complete a new 3 layout in 2 hours class which will become a regular class for me. And the last one was a super cute My Little Shoebox range which I used with some pics of the new house. Tonight I start teaching SDU for beginners which is a 6 week course.
So if your in the Sydney are want to come to some classes.... check out Scraploot.

So here are a couple of classes that I taught over at Scraploot in November. ( I know, I know... just a little late lol... but better late than never)

A double layout using My Little Shoebox range which was perfect for these photos of my nieces 1st Birthday. For someone who doesn't usually do double pages I think I did alright.

This one is using Fancy Pants Little Sprout range, and features our little man.... one of my favourite layouts.
So if you popped by for a visit... don't forget to say hi!

New Year, New Look, New House!

What a year it has been already! I've been a little busy over the past two months since my last official post, because so much has been happening. The last time I blogged I was all organised and ready to begin Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas, and sadly I didn't complete a single layout for it. Early December we signed contracts for a house and with the whirlwind of getting all the documents organised, the busyness of Christmas and New Year and amongst it all the packing to get done time really got a way from me.
We finally got the keys to our new home last Wednesday and have been kept busy with the move and the painting and a decision yesterday to completely sand and re-polish the floor boards throughout the house. All I can say is thank goodness for parents, especially Dad's! I am truly grateful for all the hardwork my man, my dad and my father in law have put in to fixing up the house. We have had so much help in the move from friends and family from packing, to cleaning, to physically moving our things. I'm not sure even how to show them how much there hardwork is appreciated.
Hopefully we will finally get to stay in the house and start all the joy of unpacking come the weekend.
On the scrapping front... I am so missing it!!!! I haven't scrapped for what feels like an eternity... but I have good excuse to do so... with Class Layout deadlines looming... I will be forced to scrap... O no LOL!
And a shout out to Sheree for my blog overhaul too... you can overtake it any time hun... thanks for the New Look, its very me!
Once we settle in I will hopefully get back in to scrapping and share some layouts with you guys.
